helping others while helping yourself
The Trialgig story begins over three years ago when the marketing lead of a Silicon Valley-based biotechnology company realized how pharmaceutical companies could not find enough patients to sign-up for their clinical trials.
The marketing lead called-up his best friend and both started to analyze the reasons clinical trials were running into such recruitment problems.
To their biggest surprise, they found out how clinical trial participants did not get fairly compensated while pharmaceutical companies and researches profited from the trials.
A new way of recruiting is born
Both friends realized that the lack of fair compensation was the main reason for the clinical trial volunteer shortage.
In response, they created Trialgig, a new web-based platform that allows clinical trial volunteers to set their own compensation expectations.
Trialgig's mission is to cut the time it takes to recruit patients for a clinical trial from several months to just a few days. We believe there will be a day where the amount of compensation offered to trial volunteers will be driven market rules of demand and supply.
This compensation amount will be many times higher than the current compensation rate.
By connecting study participants and clinical investigators together, we are revolutionizing the trial participant recruitment process by making it more equitable, faster and more personal than ever.
All trial volunteers should be compensated fairly for their time, effort and dedication.
Fairly compensating clinical trial volunteers speeds up trials and is a win for all parties involved:
It is a win for the participating trial volunteers who receive fair compensation.
It is a win for society, as new drugs and new potential cures are made available faster.
It is a win for pharmaceutical companies sponsoring clinical trials, as they will be able to launch their new drugs faster.
It is a win for clinical teams running trials, as they will be able to spend more time taking care of patients and less time on volunteer recruitment.
